About Brittany Wilson

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Hello there! I’m Dr. Brittany Wilson. I am a board certified PMHNP. I strive to offer exceptional psychiatric care to patients across the lifespan in Orange Park, Florida and surrounding counties.

I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida, before receiving my Master of Science in Nursing and post-master certificate in psychiatric mental health at Jacksonville University. I spent many years as an Emergency Department RN prior to becoming an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner. I went on to complete receive my doctorate at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.

I believe psychiatry should feel human, collaborative, and deeply personalnot rushed or transactional. My approach is rooted in truly listening to each patient’s story, understanding their unique needs, and working together to create a treatment plan that feels right for them.

While medication can be an important tool, it is never the only option I consider. I take a whole-person approach to care, looking at emotional, psychological, lifestyle, and environmental factors that influence mental health. For some patients, that may mean medication. For others, it may mean therapy, lifestyle changes, coping strategies, or a combination of approaches. What matters most to me is that treatment is thoughtful, individualized, and aligned with each patient’s goals.

I strive to create a space where patients feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood- not like a number being moved through a system. I take the time to build meaningful relationships with my patients, so they leave appointments feeling supported, validated, and empowered in their care.

My goal is simple: to provide compassionate, intentional psychiatry that meets people where they are and helps them move forward in a way that feels sustainable, dignified, and hopeful.

I can’t wait to meet you – and I mean that genuinely.
