About Christa Whorton

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Christa Whorton is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 11 years of experience
working with adults struggling with stress, self-esteem, codependency, depression,
anxiety, narcissistic abuse, work-related stress, criminal charges, life transitions and
relationship/family discourse. She utilizes therapeutic techniques such as Person-
Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Solution-
Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Psychodynamic Therapy and behavior
activation.

Christa approaches therapy as a puzzle with missing pieces. The more she learns of
her client’s background, experiences, strengths and behaviors that no longer serve
them, the better she can assist with building a foundation of self-respect, developing
healthy coping strategies, improving relationships with others, or challenging long held
beliefs whether they stem from religion, family norms or one’s environment.

Not one person is the same, so whether it’s support and encouragement or someone
that will challenge you and keep you accountable, Christa adapts her approach based
on your need. She believes it’s the little things that matter and to prioritize small
changes over time vs. quick fixes that are not sustainable.
